Emma Kalish

Economics PhD Student at Johns Hopkins

I am on the job market for 2022-2023. I am a sixth-year student focusing on applied structural microeconomics on topics such as child welfare, health, and poverty.

My job market paper looks at the effects of different types of foster care placements on human capital outcomes for children. My other work includes examining the effect of medical innovation on health disparities and the labor supply implications of marginal tax rates in transfer programs.
